Турецкий предприниматель Сертач Ташделен выпустил мобильное приложение Faladdin, функционал которого – гадание на кофейной гуще, причем с использованием искусственного интеллекта. По заявлению автора, приложение соединяет современные технологии машинного обучения с многовековыми мистическими практиками – ясновидением, астрологией и так далее. Сам Сертач рассказывает, что учился гаданию у своей матери, которая несколько лет назад даже написала книгу об этом виде предсказаний. Ташделен утверждает, что гадать самому себе нельзя, поэтому он часто отправлял фотографии своей кофейной чашки на смартфон матери, которая жила в другом городе. Она предсказывала будущее сына по этим изображениям, и в какой-то момент Сертач понял, что здесь есть неплохой потенциал для стартапа. Нужно только заменить живую гадалку искусственным интеллектом – при нынешнем массовом интересе к нейросетям это может привлечь много клиентов.
Расчет оказался верным, и, по заявлению создателей, ежедневно сервисом гадания на кофейной гуще пользуется более миллиона человек, а всего у приложения больше 20 миллионов загрузок. География пользователей не раскрывается, но известно, что 700 тысяч из них получают предсказания на турецком языке, 200 тысяч – на арабском и еще 100 тысяч – на английском.
Нейросеть, натренированная распознавать такие изображения, проанализирует расположение размокших частичек кофе. После этого приложение мгновенно выдаст вам подробный прогноз ближайших событий вашей жизни (правда, только в платной версии; в бесплатной придется подождать, посмотрев рекламный ролик).
Эксперты не раз с иронией отмечали, что искусственный интеллект теоретически можно научить «любой бесполезной работе, даже гаданию на кофейной гуще». И вот теперь их «пророчество» сбылось – ясновидение заработало на новом технологическом уровне.
С точки зрения программирования здесь нет ничего слишком сложного. Алгоритм научили распознавать расположение гущи на дне чашки и, в соответствии с этими узорами, комбинировать предсказания из заранее составленных вариантов: сам автор приложения говорит, что в его команде работают 30 человек, среди которых психологи, писатели и даже один театральный драматург.
Однако нам кажется, что всего этого и не требуется. Многовековой опыт говорит, что гадалки могут работать вообще без какой-либо информации о клиенте, выдавая максимально обтекаемые формулировки, в которые легко поверить. И никто не жалуется – ни читатели гороскопов, ни клиенты телевизионных экстрасенсов.
Из всего этого можно сделать вывод: если что-то абсурдное может принести кому-нибудь финансовую выгоду, то для этого обязательно выпустят приложение. И даже, как в данном случае, встроят в него самообучающуюся нейронную сеть.
